A common sight along Welsh river valleys, the Sessile Oak is the national tree of Wales. The word sessile means without a stalk. The sessile oak is so named because of its stalkless acorns. The druids were particularly associated with oak trees - the word druid (derwydd) is said to come from the root word meaning oak (derw). The Sessile Oak bangle is a joy to behold with a pleasing combination of a yellow gold oak leaf and a dainty rose gold acorn. It has an inside circumference of 18cm (1 ¼"). With a touch of rare Welsh gold, the Sessile Oak bangle carries the unique Clogau Gold and Welsh dragon marks and are delivered in a presentation box with a certificate of authenticity.
